I have lived in the Flint, MI area for all of my life. I am currently teaching math at Flushing High School. I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Consumer's Math and this year I am teaching Algebra 1 and Consumer's Math for the first time in a long time. In the past I have coached 7th grade volleyball, Freshman volleyball, and JV girls soccer but sadly decided to step away to begin my Master's program. Upon completion of my Educational Technology program at Michigan State University I am excited to begin a new journey in my career and life and I cannot wait to see what it teaches me!
After a short tour of my website you can probably gather that I am extremely passionate about mathematics education. During my high school years I was fortunate enough to have an extremely gifted math teacher and a program that centered around real world math problems rather than your traditional math program. It sparked in me a life long love of learning, discovery, and the beauty that can be found in a somewhat unconventional topic. It is my goal to share my love of learning and mathematics with my students.
